As Mankind launches into the 21st Century, it is faced with a pandemic of diseases.

Although conditions such as Malaria and TB are almost unheard of in developed countries, they are still killing millions in developing nations. Added to this, new conditions such as SARS and HIV / AIDS are threatening everyone.

This Emmy award-winning series, mixing documentary with Dangerous-produced drama sequences, examine why it has taken so long to act on these problems. It seeks those affected, and those inspiring individuals who against all the odds are making a difference.
